Brad Bening brings decades of experience handling first-party residential property claims, both as counsel and as a mediator. Over the course of his career, he has managed several thousand claims, including serving as lead counsel for CSAA in the settlement of hundreds of claims arising from the Loma Prieta Earthquake and the Oakland Hills Fire. In addition to representing numerous insurance carriers, he has also represented scores of homeowners, giving him a balanced perspective on these often contentious matters. In recent years, Mr. Bening has mediated dozens of wildfire-related cases stemming from the Sonoma, Napa, and Paradise fires, among others, and recently handled a multiple complex first-party homeowner cases in mediation. His deep familiarity with coverage issues A through D, additional living expenses, ALE, debris removal, and code upgrades allows him to navigate these disputes with expertise and efficiency.
